Shoulders pain

Oh, it’s not as simple as in the elbow (I wrote about pain in the elbow joint in a previous post). The shoulder is called not only the joint itself in the shoulder (the deltoid muscle area), but also the Shoulder Girdle - this is the shoulder itself, the clavicle area in front, and the scapula area in the back - all this is interconnected. And the pain may not necessarily be due to a local problem, but radiating from a neighboring area (this happens due to the fact that the same nerves approach the organs and skin located nearby).
But let's try to globally arrange it in paragraphs and in simple language.
First. Was there any injury? That is, whether there was a dislocation or subluxation, maybe you fell on an outstretched arm, or fell on your elbow. Or there was a blow to the shoulder area. Any injury is considered separately and individually. And I won’t always be able to help—maybe you need to go to a medical center. The fact is that the head of the humerus does not fit tightly into the joint, as if lying on a plate and is wrapped around the plate with a lip. At the time of injury, the lip may be damaged, which means that surgical help cannot be avoided. At the time of the anamnesis, I first of all ask about the nature of the injury, if it was...
Your next landmark. If the pain starts in the morning, and in the evening it may become a little easier, it may be inflammation. If the pain comes later, after exercise, there is most likely no inflammation.
If there was no injury. What kind of pain and how does it spread?
The likelihood of a serious problem is extremely low. During the history, I will conduct some tests that will show the source of pain, and therefore the direction of treatment. The most common treatment will be deep massage, possibly some sports and medical massage techniques. Perhaps I will use (with your permission) acupuncture and apply kinesio-tapes. In any case, I will show you and oblige you to do special exercises as homework.
If the pain aches in the area of the shoulder itself and shoots down into the arm, to the elbow or even lower, there is a high probability of compression of the nerve root in the cervical spine. This can be caused by protrusion or even herniation of an intervertebral disc (for those who do not yet know what protrusion and herniation of an intervertebral disc are, I will tell you later). This means that the treatment is the same as for protrusion/herniation of an intervertebral disc. (Can’t wait to find out the details? Then individually and when we meet at a massage session.)
And in addition, if there is pain in the back, in the area of the shoulder blades. And there will be a separate post about this later, since the reason may also be in the area of the thoracic spine, or...
