Is Your Massage Therapist a Man or a Woman?

Let’s Talk About the Awkward Bit…
Let’s face it — deciding to book a massage can already feel like a big step. But throw in the question “Is the therapist male or female?” and suddenly it becomes a whole internal debate. Yep, we’re going there.

The truth is, many people — both women and men — feel slightly awkward about seeing a male massage therapist. Meanwhile, female massage therapists seem to breeze through everyone’s comfort zone without a hitch. Curious, isn’t it?
Let’s clear something up straight away...

Proper Breathing — Part 1: Why It’s So Important

Well, yes — more often than not, my profession doesn’t earn complete reverence. And that’s fine! But you know what makes me smile from ear to ear? When, a month after I’ve been nagging a client to do their homework, they come back showing clear, visible progress. Last week was just like that. It’s brilliant — and it reminds me why I love my work!

So — let’s talk about breathing.
Not just any breathing — proper, mindful breathing.
If you learn to breathe well, you’ll solve half your possible health problems. Really.

Is Your Lower Back Painful? 🫣 Don’t Panic — Read This First

Sore Lower Back? When to Worry — and When Massage Therapy Can Help

Lower back pain can feel worrying — but not all back pain is dangerous. In fact, the vast majority of cases are mechanical and respond well to hands-on treatment like remedial massage.

🚨 When to call for urgent help
Always call 999 or seek emergency medical care if:
Your back pain is sudden and unbearable, and you have a high temperature.
Your pain follows a recent fall, blow, or serious injury.
Pain gets worse after eating or when you go to the toilet...

Do You Suffer from Headaches?

It often happens during a massage session that I help relieve your headache. Does it work? Almost always. But let’s talk about that “almost”.
This post is a simple guide you can use as a personal checklist the next time you experience a headache.

First, a bit of theory
Headaches fall into two main categories:
Secondary headaches – caused by illness, hangovers, sinus issues, infections etc. These usually go away with medical treatment. They make up about 10–15% of all cases.
Primary headaches – including Tension Headaches (TH) and Migraines.
Let’s see which one you may have...

“Widow’s Hump” – What Is It Really?

According to the genetic law “The phenotype changes within the genotype.” That is, the health of an individuaHello again! Last time, we discussed how your neck struggles to support your head — about 30kg when tilted over a gadget. Now, let’s see how your body tries to protect itself when your head begins to pull away. Alarming? Yes. But not hopeless.

Soon, headaches may begin (more on that in my next post) and a noticeable hump can develop at the base of your neck — commonly known as a “widow’s hump”, withers, or simply a neck mound. This forms as your body tries to stabilise the excessive bend by building a thick layer of fat above the seventh cervical vertebra.l, its....

Neck (Head) How much does your head weigh?

This will be the first post in a subsequent short series of posts about headaches and neck pain and problems.

So how much does your head weigh? On average, the head of an adult weighs about 5 kg. This is simply the weight of the head when weighing the head as an organ of the body. But...

Shoulders pain

Oh, it’s not as simple as in the elbow (I wrote about pain in the elbow joint in a previous post).

The shoulder is called not only the joint itself in the shoulder (the deltoid muscle area), but also the Shoulder Girdle - this is the shoulder itself, the clavicle area in front, and the scapula area in the back - all this is interconnected. And the pain may not necessarily be due to a local problem, but radiating from a neighboring area (this happens due to the fact that the same nerves approach the organs and skin located nearby).

"Tennis elbow" and "Golfer's elbow"

You’ve probably come across the name of a certain disease  “tennis elbow” and/or  “golfer’s elbow.” (The other day I read a heated correspondence here about this from one of my friends under a post - they advised and advised us...) These names are directly related not only to tennis/golf - these are only associations due to the characteristic swing for hitting the ball (they differ in the opposite sides). And by the correct medical term we call these syndromes Lateral (external) and Medial (internal) Epicondylitis (epicondyle - epicondyles, or simply bony protrusions-bumps in the elbow outside and inside). You can also hear the diagnosis Tendinitis or Tendinosis (derived from the Latin tendo - tendon and it is - inflammation) - this is...

Backache, what happens, why and what to do

In the last post, I briefly and in the simplest words explained what protrusion and hernia are. Again. Protrusion is a partial hernia, and a hernia is already an injury. And if a hernia occurs. What is it and what to do if a  shot occurs.

The intervertebral disc consists of an annulus fibrosus (composed of many dense concentric layers of collagen fibers) and within it is the nucleus pulposus (a gel-like liquid structure in the center of the disc). During the use of the body, sooner or later, the fibrous rings are torn from the inside, which leads to the formation of a rupture and protrusion of the hernia. It happens instantly, like a shot. It can even happen simply from a sneeze.

What is protrusion and herniated disc?

What is Protrusion? What is a herniated disc?

First a brief explanation. Osteochondrosis  of the spine is a natural degenerative process of aging. This is not really a disease (unless you are 25 years old, of course!) in the understanding of pathology. Every person on the planet will have caries, gray hair and osteochondrosis. Of course, if he lives to see it...
And the natural process of aging can also cause protrusions and hernias.

Why do I regularly use needles

One of the popular questions when you are on my MASSAGE couch is what do these same needles do and why do I need to “prick” them? And I tell it again and again and again. And now I will tell you again. Why do I regularly use needles during a MASSAGE session? I use it very often.......

What is Placebo and Nocebo?

“Yesterday I took time off from work. I lied that I was sick. Three of my colleagues didn’t come to work today - they said they got infected from me.”

Everyone knows what a Placebo is, right. But what is NOCEBO. Unfamiliar term?.......

This is about epigenetics

According to the genetic law “The phenotype changes within the genotype.” That is, the health of an individual, its external manifestations, plumpness, stoop and more, can only change within the boundaries of the genetic code laid down to us. But with his “bad” habits and weaknesses, a person reduces and distorts the quality and duration of life through the genetic code. For example........

My clients lost kilograms

For many today, the most pressing topic is excess weight. And again I was told thank you that my client lost kilograms with MASSAGE. Let's talk?

Let's consider three points.  Firstly, it is simply impossible to lose weight simply by receiving a MASSAGE from me. It would be more correct to clarify that YES, deep MASSAGE techniques help to start fat burning processes and YES, they speed up metabolism. Therefore....
